Well tomorrow is our last Sunday for the program year! We are recognizing all our volunteers... making sure everyone who has volunteered in any way is recognized... we have a fun liturgy to honor them, but will not be mentioning all the programs and ways people have helped... we would be there all week if we did that!
It is amazing how important it is to do this but how crazy it can get preparing for it because you dont want to leave anybody out...because lord knows we would hear about it!! I am so grateful for all the volunteers at Zumbro...this church truly thrives on its volunteers. Especially with all the transition of trying to call a new directing pastor... the members of this church stepped up to the plate...ran the church... no real tragedies! THANK YOU ZUMBRO VOLUNTEERS!
It was a busy weekend at home. Lots to do with helping with a funeral of a family friend, sister heading to the ER(on her birthday) to get treated for a horrible headache( not great treatment at all.... waited from 8:30pm-4:30am), met some of Dave's co-workers while singing some karaoke, dropped of some paperwork at church for the wedding, dinner at a parishioners house tonight for end of the year continuing ed committee meetings... great food, fun company...and the weekend is not even over yet!
This next week should be ok, not too much on the to do list but you never know what could happen. Even though major program year is over, the summer season is packed full with VBS, weddings (to attend and be in), National Youth Gathering, Youth Works trip, and then before you know it, I will be packing up to head back to Seminary for my final year of classes! Again, I ask... where has the time gone!?
